Open Wide the Gate in 2008!
In April 2005 the congregation voted unanimously to support the Eagles Wings initiative and gave near unanimous funding approval. This initiative led to the successful 2007 "Take Flight Campaign" that has provided funding for updating and renovating our church (the projects are still underway). Clearly we have been setting the stage for the ministry that God has called us to have at Church of the Savior.
The motto for Church of the Savior this year is "Open Wide the Gate in 2008!" The Eagles Wings Initiative continues as we move beyond the church walls to reach Canton. These plans include marketing campaigns, neighborhood canvassing, development of small groups, children's ministries, student ministries, a focus on young adults and a new worship experience.
This new worship experience will be in addition to our current traditional worship service. Even as we start this new worship service we will continue offering our current style of worship every Sunday morning. Everyone who finds the current worship meaningful and important to their spiritual development will continue to have that form of worship offered.
Please prayerfully consider how God is calling you to personally soar and be involved in opening wide the gate in 2008!
