The Ministry for the Chronologically Gifted is an intentional, faith filled effort to reach older adults in the Canton area through a comprehensive array of activities that will complement existing community efforts to enhance the personal and spiritual lives of senior citizens.
Of the approximately 700 members of Church of the Savior, there is a sizable group of faithful people over the age of 55 that needs attention. Active ministries include Stephen Ministry (for all ages of adults), Lay Visitation, Pastoral Visitation, Telecare (telephone contact with every church member four times per year), Wesley Fellowship (monthly luncheon and program) and Tender Loving Care, an offshoot of our singles group which is a support group for people who have lost a spouse. The Older Adult Ministry hopes to provide an overall strategy that will link existing church and community responses and identify new opportunities.
